On Wednesday the 19th of July, with the help of local talents, Girl About Town, our showroom was transformed into a runway to showcase the latest collection ‘La Boheme’,
Guests entered down the black carpet and into the transformed boutique, being met with a glass of The Lane Wineries ‘Lois’ sparkling, and the sweetest of cupcakes from Cristarella Cakes. The venue displayed intricate gowns from previous Calèche collections and was finished with a large and whimsical floral installation from Little Love Co that would become the archway through which where the parade would begin.
Host Lucy Cornes began the evenings proceedings, welcoming the crowd and acknowledging our proud relationship with Minda.
One by one, La Boheme was introduced to Adelaide, with every stitch and detail finally revealed. The models from Finesse Modelling Agency were styled with low pony tails wrapped in cream velvet bows, and wore oversized gold cross earrings as the perfect contradiction. Hair and makeup was styled by Media Makeup Australia, the male models were dressed by Peter Shearer and Filip with an F set the mood with the music. It was a very special evening also for Calèche as Bianca Foubert, grand-daughter of Calèche founders Olivier and Colette Foubert made her modelling debut.
Inspired by beautiful laces and fabrics, designer Liz Foubert had the modern Adelaide bride in mind when creating the collection. ‘La Boheme’ means relaxed and free spirited, and she used that inspiration to let the laces and fabrics create the styles and an altogether eclectically cohesive collection.
The team at Calèche are incredibly proud to be a leader in the bridal industry and even prouder to be South Australian Made. With over 40 years experience it is still a true pleasure to share our creations with you.
