AMANDA & BRETT

Calèche real bride Amanda and partner Brett’s romantic Adelaide Hills wedding took place at the modern and intimate venue lot 100. A late afternoon ceremony surrounded by family and friends and followed by a formal reception, all captured in beautifully lit sunset photos.

Lets start at the beginning, when and how did you and your partner meet?

We met in April 2013 at a friend’s birthday.

Tell us about the proposal

We were staying at our favourite place – Carrickalinga. We had put our two boys to bed, and left them with my parents to have a wine on the beach. We sat down and watched the sunset and Brett proposed!

The Dress! Tell us about your experience finding the dress .. How did you decide on the one?

I didn’t have an image of my dream dress in my head so I was reluctant to have one made from scratch. I tried on a few dresses that I didn’t mind… then I went to Calèche. The Lima dress was the first I tried on and I loved it! I tried on a few others at Calèche and a few elsewhere, but (and I know it’s cliché) I couldn’t stop thinking about the Lima dress!

You can view the Lima gown of the Decadent Dayrdeams collection in store.

Can you give us some details on your wedding location?

We got married at Lot 100, Hay Valley. We had a late afternoon ceremony, followed by a formal reception.

What was your favourite moment of the day?

Walking down the ‘aisle’ and locking eyes with Brett.

Hens Day! If you had one, please tell us all about it!

My four bridesmaids created the most amazing hens day! A beautiful lunch at my mum and dad’s place with all of my favourite ladies, filled with amazing people, food, cocktails and activities.

Lastly, is there any advice or words of wisdom you have for future brides?

Go with your instincts! If you can’t stop thinking about a dress you have tried on, then it’s the one!!
