AMY & NICHOLAS

Lets start at the beginning, when and how did you and your partner meet?
Nick and I met 10 years ago, he was living in regional Victoria and I was living in Adelaide. Our friends had met at Camp America and we were set up as a bit of a joke, we immediately clicked and the rest is history!

Tell us about the proposal ..
We went on an annual holiday to Noosa with Nicks family. One morning Nick was super eager to do the walk through the national park, we set off and he eventually dropped to one knee on a very skinny track because the previous locations were too busy!! His brother has set up a bottle of champagne on the beach, we polished the bottle and had some very strange looks from beach goers claiming their real estate at 8:30am. His parents had no idea, we loved surprising them and having a boozy lunch at Spirit House.

The Dress! Tell us about your experience finding the dress .. How did you decide on the one?
It was a very easy process! I went in knowing I wanted sleeves and that was about it. We put together three seperate pieces, changed a few little details and created my beautiful dress. Calèche were amazing from start to finish! I have had endless comments on how beautiful the dress was.

Can you give us some details on your wedding location?
We chose Howard Vineyard in Nairne, we’d always loved their wines and found the location and staff delightful. They were incredible throughout the nightmare of 2020 and went above and beyond on the day.

What was your favourite moment of the day?
Oh so hard to choose! Probably Dad walking me down the aisle to Timberwolf playing our favourite Fleetwood Mac song and seeing Nick tear up.

Hens Day! If you had one, please tell us all about it!
My girls organised the most beautiful long lunch at The Currant Shed with my nearest and dearest followed by cocktails at Proof in the city.

Lastly, is there any advice or words of wisdom you have for future brides?
Contact vendors you love early, try to learn your vows so you can look at your future wife/husband during the ceremony and remember that everyone is there to celebrate your love, if something doesn’t go to plan nobody will even notice!
