CRISTIANA & JAKE

Calèche real bride Cristiana and partner Jake celebrated their love with a ceremony at St Francis Xavier Cathedral followed by an elegant reception at the Adelaide Hilton. Snapped walking the laneways of Adelaide, Cristiana is an absolute vision in her custom 3D lace gown, and Jake just can’t take his eyes off her.

Lets start at the beginning, when and how did you and your partner meet?

We have known each other since we were 13 and we met through my best friend.

Tell us about the proposal ..

Jake organised for my sister-in-law to take me out to brunch as he was setting up rose petals and candles leading to a picnic in our back yard, which is where he was waiting on one knee when I arrived home.

The Dress! Tell us about your experience finding the dress .. How did you decide on the one?

I had a great experience at Caleche in designing my dress. I absolutely love it. I had a vision of what I wanted and the ladies at Caleche brought it to life. I couldn’t be happier!

Accessories! How did you accessorize your outfit?

I had minimal accessories – pearl hanging loop earrings and simple shoes with some sparkle over the toes

Can you give us some details on your wedding location?

Our ceremony location was St Francis Xavier’s Adelaide Cathedral. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Adelaide Hilton Hotel.

What was your favourite moment of the day?

My two favourite parts of the day were – firstly, exchanging our vowels during the ceremony and secondly, our entrance into our reception.

Hens Day! If you had one, please tell us all about it!

My Hen’s day was 70s/Austin Powers inspired. It was a party at Whistle and Flute. It was so much fun! My bridal party organised ‘go go’ dancers, an Austin Powers stripper and a DJ. They made the venue look so fun and colourful. I loved every minute of it!

Lastly, is there any advice or words of wisdom you have for future brides?

My advice would be don’t sweat the small stuff. Just focus on the fact that you are about to marry your best friend and that’s the most important thing in the world.
