VIC & SEAN

Lets start at the beginning, when and how did you and your partner meet?
Sean and I met at the Holdfast hotel on a Wednesday night in 2010. We knew of each other but had never actually spoken to each other until this night! He obviously made a good impression because we went on many dates after this.

Tell us about the proposal ..
Sean proposed to me in Edinburgh, Scotland. My family and best friends all knew of the proposal but I had absolutely no idea! It’s still one of my favourite moments ever!

The Dress! Tell us about your experience finding the dress .. How did you decide on the one?
It’s funny because Calèche was actually the first place I went with my mum to go “proper” dress shopping. I actually came into Calèche wanting a long sleeve very plain and simple gown. I ended up leaving with the complete opposite! Mum and I actually saw this dress on the mannequin, it had caught both of our eyes when we walked in. I remember mum saying “You HAVE to try that on!” I’m so glad I did because I am so obsessed with everything about it! From the minute I tried it on I just felt amazing and confident wearing it.

Can you give us some details on your wedding location?
We got married at Coriole vineyards. A beautiful winery in Mclaren Vale.

What was your favourite moment of the day?
Probably the part where we all got to sit down for the lunch. We had a very intimate wedding of 23 people. It was just so nice to sit down, eat, drink, talk and celebrate with our favourite people.

Hens Day! If you had one, please tell us all about it!
My hens day was definitely up there with one of my favourite days ever (after the wedding of course). My bridesmaids went all out and had organised a gorgeous pallet picnic at a winery in Mclaren Vale. It was everything I wanted plus 100x more!

Lastly, is there any advice or words of wisdom you have for future brides?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Everything always works out in the end. Even if it doesn’t no one else knows/notices! Just enjoy the day because it goes so quick!
